Privacy Policy
Effective date: August 3, 2026
Summary
Miredain LLC builds and operates software products. This policy explains what we do with personal information.
The short version:
- The miredain.com website does not collect personal information. It has no accounts, no forms, and no cookies.
- Our products collect what they need to work, and no more. Each product publishes its own privacy policy with the specifics.
- We do not sell or rent personal information. We do not run advertising, and we do not use your content to train artificial-intelligence models.
- You can ask us for your data or ask us to delete it, wherever you live. Email rbush@miredain.com.
The sections below are the full statement. Where this policy and a product's own policy differ, the product's policy governs that product.
1. Who we are and what this covers
Miredain LLC ("Miredain," "we," "us," or "our") is a single-member limited liability company formed in California, United States.
This policy covers:
- The miredain.com website.
- Email and other direct correspondence with us.
- General practices that apply across our products.
This policy does not replace the privacy policy published for an individual product. Each product publishes its own policy — available from that product's website, its app store listing, or within the app itself — describing the information it collects, the categories of third parties it relies on, and how to exercise your rights within it.
If you use one of our products, read that product's policy. It is more specific than this one, and it governs where the two differ.
2. Definitions
- Personal information — information that identifies, relates to, or could reasonably be linked with you.
- Product — a software application published by Miredain LLC.
- Service provider — a third party that processes information on our behalf and under our instructions.
- Website — the site at https://miredain.com.
- You — a visitor to our website, a user of one of our products, or anyone who contacts us.
3. Information we collect
3.1 The website
The miredain.com website does not collect personal information. It has no accounts, no logins, and no forms. It does not use cookies, and it does not run analytics or advertising trackers. The only contact mechanism is a link that opens your own email application.
If we ever introduce analytics or any other collection on the website, we will update this policy before doing so.
Server logs. As with any website, our hosting provider automatically records standard technical information when a page is requested — such as IP address, the page requested, the time of the request, and browser type. These logs are generated by the infrastructure, retained for a limited period, and used only to operate and secure the site. We do not use them to build profiles of visitors.
3.2 When you contact us
If you email us, we receive your email address, your name if you provide it, and whatever you choose to write. We keep correspondence so we can answer you and maintain a record of the conversation.
3.3 Our products
Information collected inside a product is described in that product's own privacy policy. Broadly, our products may collect account information, content you create, preferences you set, usage and diagnostic data, and subscription status.
Payment information. We do not collect or store full payment details. Purchases made through an app store or payment processor are handled by that platform under its own terms, and it shares only limited information with us — such as whether a subscription is active and when it renews. We never receive your card number.
4. How we use information
We use personal information to:
- operate, maintain, and secure our website and products;
- provide the features you ask for;
- respond to support requests, questions, and feedback;
- process and manage subscriptions;
- diagnose technical problems and fix defects;
- understand which features are used so we can decide what to build;
- send messages about your account, a subscription, a security issue, or a material change to these terms;
- comply with legal obligations and enforce our agreements.
5. What we do not do
We want these commitments stated plainly rather than buried:
- We do not sell or rent personal information. We do not disclose it for cross-context behavioural advertising, which some laws also define as a "sale."
- We do not run advertising in our products or on our website, and we do not embed advertising trackers.
- We do not use your content to train artificial-intelligence models. Where a product uses AI to provide a feature, your content is sent to a model provider only to produce that result for you.
- We do not use server logs to profile visitors.
6. Legal bases for processing
If you are in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, we process personal information on these legal bases:
- Performance of a contract — to provide a product or service you have asked for.
- Legitimate interests — to secure our systems, prevent abuse, fix defects, and improve our products, where those interests are not overridden by your rights.
- Consent — where we ask for it, which you may withdraw at any time.
- Legal obligation — where the law requires us to process or retain information.
7. Service providers
We rely on third parties to run our business and our products. Each performs a specific function, may access personal information only to perform that function, and is bound to keep it confidential and not to use it for its own purposes.
The categories we use include:
- Hosting and infrastructure — running our website, applications, and databases.
- Email and communications — delivering our correspondence and transactional messages.
- App stores and payment processing — selling and managing subscriptions.
- Analytics and error monitoring — understanding product usage and diagnosing crashes.
- Artificial-intelligence providers — generating results within features that use AI.
- Domain and DNS services — operating our domains.
Each product's own privacy policy identifies the service providers relevant to that product.
8. Retention
We keep personal information only as long as we need it for the purposes in this policy, or as long as the law requires.
- Website server logs — retained for a limited period under our hosting provider's standard practices.
- Correspondence — kept while it is useful for support and record-keeping.
- Product data — retention periods are stated in each product's privacy policy. Where a product allows account deletion, deleting your account removes your content on the schedule that policy describes; residual copies may persist in backups for a limited period before they cycle out.
9. International transfers
Miredain LLC operates from the United States. If you use our website or products from outside the United States, your information will be transferred to and processed in the United States, where data-protection law differs from that of your country.
Where we transfer personal information out of the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, we rely on an appropriate safeguard — typically the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses, or a transfer to a country covered by an adequacy decision. You may ask us which safeguard applies to a particular transfer.
10. Your rights
These rights are available to everyone who contacts us, wherever you live. We do not limit them to residents of jurisdictions that mandate them.
You may ask us to:
- Access — give you a copy of the personal information we hold about you, in a structured, commonly used, machine-readable format.
- Correct — fix information that is inaccurate or incomplete.
- Delete — erase personal information we hold about you.
- Restrict or object — stop or limit a particular use of your information.
- Withdraw consent — where we relied on consent, withdraw it for future processing.
To make a request, email rbush@miredain.com. We will respond within 30 days. We may need to verify your identity first, and we may decline where the law requires us to keep something — in which case we will tell you why.
We will not discriminate against you for exercising these rights.
10.1 European Economic Area and United Kingdom
In addition to the rights above, you have the right to lodge a complaint with your national supervisory authority. In the United Kingdom this is the Information Commissioner's Office.
We have not appointed a Data Protection Officer, because the nature and scale of our processing does not meet the threshold that requires one. Privacy enquiries go to rbush@miredain.com and are handled by the company's owner.
10.2 California
California residents have rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act, as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act: to know what personal information we collect and how we use and disclose it; to obtain a copy of it; to correct it; to delete it; to opt out of its sale or sharing; and not to be discriminated against for exercising any of these rights.
We do not sell or share personal information as those terms are defined by the CCPA, so there is no opt-out to exercise. We do not use or disclose sensitive personal information for purposes that would require an opt-out.
In the preceding twelve months, the categories of personal information we may have collected are: identifiers (such as name, email address, and IP address); commercial information (subscription status); internet or electronic network activity (product usage and diagnostic data); and inferences drawn from preferences you have set. The sources are you, and the platforms through which you purchase a subscription. We collect them for the business purposes described in section 4, and disclose them only to the categories of service providers described in section 7.
Miredain LLC is a small company and may not meet the thresholds that make the CCPA apply to us. We honour these requests regardless.
10.3 Other jurisdictions
If you are protected by another privacy law — including Brazil's LGPD, Canada's PIPEDA, South Africa's POPIA, or the Australian Privacy Principles — the rights in section 10 are available to you, and we will handle your request under the law that applies to you. Email rbush@miredain.com.
11. Children
Our website is not directed at children. Our products are not intended for children under 13, or under 16 in the European Economic Area where local law sets that age.
We do not knowingly collect personal information from children below those ages. If you believe a child has given us personal information, email rbush@miredain.com and we will delete it.
12. Security
We take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect personal information — including encryption in transit, access controls, and reputable infrastructure providers.
No method of transmitting or storing information is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. If a breach affects your personal information, we will notify you and the relevant regulators where the law requires it, without undue delay.
13. Links to other sites
Our website and products may link to sites we do not operate. We are not responsible for their content or their privacy practices. Read the privacy policy of any site you visit.
14. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy. When we do, we will change the effective date at the top and post the revised policy at miredain.com/privacy.
If a change materially affects how we handle personal information, we will give notice — by email where we have your address, or by a prominent notice on our website — before it takes effect.
